On the 2200 I purchased used the prop is mounted in the 7 o'clock position.
On my other engines it was mounted in the 10 o'clock position on compressio
n so they could be hand prop-ed. Does it make a difference as I would like
to have the option to hand prop-if necessary.

You won't hand prop start a Jabiru, unless it's spinning on a starter it
won't produce a spark good enough apparently. Not like an impulse mag,
it's just a dumb coil.
The best place to mount the prop is 9 o'clock, this so it's out the way
if it ever stops and you have to land it in a field.
