I received a note pointing me to the http://www.jabiru.flyer.co.uk/ web site. Here you will find the following comment: Stand in front of the prop looking back towards the flywheel. Position the flywheel so that the magnets are vertical. Position the prop so that it is located in the prop guides that give it an 11.00 o'clock position. It should now stop in the horizontal. This worked for me. I ran my engine for the first time this weekend and on three of the four shutdowns, the prop stopped horizontal. On the one other shutdown, is stopped at 2 o'clock/8 o'clock. This is good enough for me. Thanks, -------- David Gallagher 601 XL, tail & wings completed and fueslage pretty well done. Working engine and electrical systems. Well worth the time and funds expended. I recommend it highly to all who operate or intend to operate a Jabiru engine. PS. I also agree that Bob N's information and guidance is very valuable.
