Maybe we should all use the method that the Matronics Kitfox List uses......include our name, airplane model, engine model, prop size, and status, i.e. if we are building or flying, in our signatures. That way, all the info is there for others to see, and we don't have to remember to include it each time we make a comment about our plane and how it is set up. Well, that idea was also before on the zenith list due to all the post on accidents. Some builders blamed others and wrongly accused them as "other AC brands competitors" when a crash was posted. In my sign, I think, you can get a nice idea about me. Anyway on the Zenith list only a few builder have done that modification Take care, Alberto Martin www.iberplanes.es Igualada - Barcelona - Spain ---------------------------------------------- Zodiac 601 XL Builder Serial: 6-7011 Tail Kit: Finished Wings: Not Started Fuselage: Ordered Engine: Jabiru 3300

Lynn, I think this is a great idea. I find I can't keep track of this information and it is very useful when reading and attempting to make use of it. Thanks, Jim...it wasn't my idea, but it seems to help people keep track of who is flying or building what. In the Kitfox group we have a couple of moderators who also suggest that we add the words "do not archive" to posts that are merely non-informative in nature, like mine here. I think that is pointed out in the Matronics rules for posting. That way when future people who are looking up a subject find a post of say someone who just had a first flight, they won't find a gazillion messages saying "way to go man" or some such messages. I usually put "do not archive" right in my signature, then when I'm ready to send the message, I can decide whether or not my comment, suggestion, or question is worth keeping for the ages, and can edit out the last line (the do not archive), or decide that this isn't worth reading in the future, and leave the "do not archive" intact. If you or others are not aware, Matronics has a system in place that sees the "do not archive" line anywhere in the message, and will not put that particular message in the archives. It helps keep the number of archived messages down to just informative stuff, and eliminates the fodder. This group is pretty new and therefore low in number of posts, but when it gets bigger, I think Matronics will want it moderated too.
