I hope there is more than one girl at Jab USA, if not, you just told
everyone including her employer that she is recommending to buy elsewhere
and that she is even giving out the name of the other supplier their part
number. Whilst I'm sure we all appreciate her help, I bet her boss doesn't
:-)

Rip-Offs!!!!!!
When I was in the market for a new voltage regulator for my 2200A I called
Jabiru USA and was quoted a very high price for it from them. BUT the gal I
spoke to there (can't remember the name) acknowledged their price was rather
high and then suggested I call someone else (can't remember the name there
either) and she gave me the Kubota part number.
Bottom line is that, as an importer, they have very little control of the
pricing of their parts. But their willingness to recommend other sources and
provide the actual manufacturer's part number is good customer service.
I can tell you from personal experience, none of the Rotax distributors will
do that. In fact they do a fear and smear campaign to keep you from buying
standard parts like oil filters from sources other than Rotax. Rotax oil
filter is about $22 now and yet there are a plethora of auto filters that do
a great job at $5-$8.

When are you guys going to get off this thread - Maligning Jabiru will not
make you any friends. My experience with them has been nothing short of
excellent. Also it does not take much sleuthing to find alternate sources for
most of the ancillary parts hung on the engines.
