I have a 2200. When I do a run up and check the ignition at 2000 rpm there is no drop in rpm either left or right. Is this normal? BOB -

UNCLASSIFIED Bob, Try it at a lower RPM, say 1600. You could expect only a slight drop (eg <50RPM) which may not be perceptible at 2000. Ian. -Flying-in the colder weather (20-30deg F) I have the following CHTs: =0A148 155 199 169 194 202 (1,3,5,2,4,6)-- This is at 2790 RPM=0A=0AI a m-in the process of closing off the in lets to the heads in order-to br ing the temps up. Are there any MAJOR problems I might have created with su ch low CHT's? =0A=0AMy mag checks are showing a significant drop....(right at, and sometimes > 100) -I-have been blaming it-on-possible- car bon build up. I experienced this on the Cessna I used to fly and would lean until the rpm normalizes.- Today I am going to check the ignition/plug w ires to make sure all is well.--=0A=0A-Michael Hilderbrand=0ADerby, K ansas=0AHttp://www.kansasflying.com

Re the mag drop - Check your coil to flywheel gaps - Low temps are far better than high temps - Regards Keith --- On Fri, 12/2/10, Michael Hilderbrand <m_hilderbrand@sbcglobal.net> wrot e: From: Michael Hilderbrand <m_hilderbrand@sbcglobal.net> Subject: JabiruEngine-List: Cold CHTs -Flying-in the colder weather (20-30deg F) I have the following CHTs: 148 155 199 169 194 202 (1,3,5,2,4,6)-- This is at 2790 RPM I am-in the process of closing off the in lets to the heads in order-to bring the temps up.
