Subject: Fuel
List,
Is anyone using mid grade auto fuel without ethanol in their Jabiru 3300 or 2200.
I can get 91 Octane without ethanol at several local Marinas.
I have heard that a lot of Jabiru owners are using this fuel with no adverse affects.
It works fine in my O-320 Lycoming with the same compression ratio as the Jabiru.
The Lycoming book that came with the engine back in the 1950's says 72 Octane
minimum.
I was thinking of putting the Auto fuel in one tank and taking off on the 100 LL
then switch at a reduced power and observe the changes if any in EGT's and CHT's.
