Increasing RPM was giving decreasing pressure. More extreme than mentioned below however. I changed the oil and filter and tried two new senders (nothing wrong with them, wiring etc proven from exhaustive testing) I took the cooler off and read the pressure off the oil gallery and ended up with zero oil pressure on final after it dropping from 3 bar on climb out. Lots more tests on ground and no reading at all unless I used a mechanical pressure gauge. Changed oil + filter again (lower viscosity), nothing, then replaced cooler into circuit and got a ground run that looked normal. I have two oil pressure sender/panel meters now fitted, one standard VDO in the normal pump discharge position and one Equus in the engine gallery position. The VDO one was the one that it was suggested was faulty when I posted the original problem, nothing has been changed with it and it's reading now. Ground runs then looked 'normal' on both readings. Flew a few days ago and below is what I have recorded: RPM VDO EQUUS TEMP 1000 3.3 2.0 cold 1400 4.4 3.0 60 700 2.9 2.0 65 1500 4.1 2.8 75 700 1.9 1.3 78 1400 4.4 3.0 60 700 3.2 2.4 60 1200 4.1 3.0 55 2700 3.7 2.0 80 Flew again yesterday for an air test for handling checks and the readings still look 'normal'. Got oil temp up to 105 still no problems, 2 bar + on Equus meter. I have some pressure with regard to the aircraft permit so don't want to start 'messing about' with the engine again. I will however when I have the time as it makes no sense what I saw through the period when I had the thicker oil in the engine. Still the same: at 3000 rpm the oil pressure goes down.
