I've been using the Baldwin B33 on my 2200 for about 700-800 hours now....about 3 years, changing every 25 hours, right along with the oil. Micheal, I checked once and the length of the K&N filter would not clear the Jabiru supplied air plenum. If you have a different type of air management for cylinder cooling, it might work and is probably the highest quality filter available. The K&N has a nut welded on the top of the filter so you can safety wire it in place. This was an attractive enough feature to convince us to buy a dozen several years ago. The down side is that there is barely enough clearance (because of the nut) to get it on over the oil cooler adapter and every one we tried leaked at the weld that held the nut onto the filter can. We gave up on them. I JB Welded a cloverleaf-shaped flat plate onto the end of one of my first filters, so I could safety-wire the filter, then gave up on the idea because subsequent filters showed there was no need for safetying. I agree, I have never had a spin-on filter come loose, but I use a hose clamp around the filter body and safety wire this to somewhere on the engine. I used this method for many years road-racing motorcycles, and it is an acceptable safetying method in that arena. Now that you mention it, Martin, I also have a hose clamp around my filter....it holds my oil cooler flap control cable housing in place, so it acts as a safety device for the filter. Good Evening Folks, On page 73 of the 3300 Maintenance Manual, under the section, Head Fitting, it states that all O Rings be greased. Any special grease, or will wheel bearing grease suffice? Thanks, Ian Heritch Sonex Jabiru 3300
