Guys,
The Baldwin 33 Oil Filter has more filter area and better flow characteristics
than the Fram and others you can get at the Auto Parts stores. Baldwin makes filters
for a lot of other brands. I am using them exclusively now. They can be
purchased at truck and heavy equipment dealers.
As far as the safety wire goes I have never heard of an oil filter backing off
on any vehicle.

Bobby, believe it can happen. My hanger Bud has an 0-320 in his RV-9 and it
leaked oil and we discovered the filter can had unscrewed and was letting
go. To insure against such an event on my Jab 3300 I drilled a 1/16 hole in
the screw head of a SS hose clamp then after tightening the filter I tight
en the clamp and safety wire it to the oil press sender shaft. No leak beca
use it can't unscrew. Thanks for the info on the Baldwin filters. Good luck
