It doesn't seem to me that it would. After all, you have two separate
mags firing the engine, for redundancies' sake. Now if it were a
*coil* lead, that might be another story.

Unlikely in my opinion, with dual ignition, and even then, the lead would
need to be completely off.....

Sounds more like a fuel or air problem. Check to see if you have full
volume on both at full throttle. Dirty air filter, collapsing air duct
or partial plugged fuel filter or main jet could do this.
