Subject: Engine Surges
Probably not any of them around any more but have you checked to see if you have
the newer Black floats.
My first carb had the older white floats and would not stop the fuel flow at 2.25
psi. The engine would flood and run like a diesel with black soot in the exhaust.
The new floats and needle valve solved the problem.
