And how did you determine it? When I built it, I was trying to get fuel away from the #1 intake tube, because that cylinder has always been a "cold" cylinder. As it turns out, I had been chasing my tail trying to warm that cylinder up, and subsequent readings have shown that you can't always get the same exact readings from all the cylinders, so I quit chasing that dream. All my cylinders exhibit the same color of plugs, the exact same color of the exhaust pipes, so I stopped worrying about that one"rogue" cylinder. My idea in making 5 blades in the swirler and mounting it with the 4 bolts was that if I wanted to try to change the relative positions of the deflector blades to the intake tubes, I would get a positional change if I took the swirler off and repositioned it one bolt at a time, the incoming charge of air/fuel would be "aimed" a bit differently each time. But it turns out that I never had to try to change the position at all....it just worked pretty well, and I left it at that. Truth is, I had forgotten that I had installed that in June, and had been having no problems since I gave up on trying to chase that elusive cylinder....which wasn't elusive after all, just reporting different numbers for EGT than the rest. The CHT's have been fine all along.
