Guys
I am in Florida and meant to change the altitude to MSL but didn't ( age related
). Airport is at 60'.
I am going to fly today and gather more info but the exhaust is still grey / white
using 93 octane auto / marine fuel. I expect the fuel flow to go up about
.5 gph as did a friends that changed his 285 to a 290. I have been burning less
than 5 gph but it was caused by low throttle settings to avoid the high CHT's.
I should know something in a day or two.

Bobby, you might want to consider running av gas for your testing as it will eliminate
variables in egt. I hear too many issues of detonation and related engine
damage over time when using fuel very close to the minimum recommended octane.
These days I do not trust what any fuel pump/gas station says. Too much corruption
going on with sneaking in government subsidized ethanol when pump says
it contains no ethanol.
