Airport is at 60'. I am going to fly today and gather more info but the exhaust is still grey / white using 93 octane auto / marine fuel. I expect the fuel flow to go up about .5 gph as did a friends that changed his 285 to a 290. I have been burning less than 5 gph but it was caused by low throttle settings to avoid the high CHT's. I should know something in a day or two. bobby ----- Original Message ----- ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 07:12:41 AM PST US Subject: Re: JabiruEngine-List: Re: JabiruEngine-List Digest: 3 Msgs - 09/20/13 From: Gary Aman Bobby, Where in Florida? The airport I use is also at 60' G.Aman Kolb Mk3 Jabiru 2200A 840 hrs -----Original Message----- From: BobbyPaulk Sent: Sat, Sep 21, 2013 8:51 am Subject: JabiruEngine-List: Re: JabiruEngine-List Digest: 3 Msgs - 09/20/13 Guys I am in Florida and meant to change the altitude to MSL but didn't ( age re lated ). I hear too many issues of detonation and related engine damage over time when using fuel very close to the minimum recommended octane. These days I do not trust what any fuel pump/gas station says. Too much corruption going on with sneaking in government subsidized ethanol when pump says it contains no ethanol. -------- Zenith 701 #76120 Jabiru 2200A #2456 95 hours Sensenich Wood 64-PJ-36 Prop Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=408932#408932 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Matronics Email List Services ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post A New Message jabiruengine-list@matronics.com UN/SUBSCRIBE http://www.matronics.com/subscription List FAQ http://www.matronics.com/FAQ/JabiruEngine-List.htm Web Forum Interface To Lists http://forums.matronics.com Matronics List Wiki http://wiki.matronics.com Full Archive Search Engine http://www.matronics.com/search 7-Day List Browse http://www.matronics.com/browse/jabiruengine-list Browse Digests http://www.matronics.com/digest/jabiruengine-list Browse Other Lists http://www.matronics.com/browse Live Online Chat! http://www.matronics.com/chat Archive Downloading http://www.matronics.com/archives Photo Share http://www.matronics.com/photoshare Other Email Lists http://www.matronics.com/emaillists Contributions http://www.matronics.com/contribution ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These Email List Services are sponsored solely by Matronics and through the generous Contributions of its members.
