The bolts bottoming out is normal. They are supposed to. The rubber is
clamped between the engine mount and the big aluminum washer. The washer
slides inside the mount until it hits a ridge. This should be a solid
connection, the washer isn't supposed to slide in and out. Check the
detailed drawings in the installation manual.

Do you have the packing washer fitted? Large aluminium one? Makes a tighter c
lamp on the rubber.
