its probably related to the new piston to bore clearances

this mentioned again in  advisory engine bulletin 17 - and Jaba Chat / Engine news
March 2011 page 9

Advice has been that the cylinders should be honed out to twice the earlier stated
clearances when removing older cylinders

So I would go with the latest info
