I=C2-would not be to concerned with the lower fuel pressure.=C2- Temper
atures are warner now than in December, so the fluid (fuel) might be thinne
r.=C2- Sounds like you have a MGL or Dynon .=C2- What I'd be looking at
is the fuel flow to the engine.=C2- In December what was the fuel flow p
er hour.=C2- Should be close to 10.5 gallons on take off and climb out.
=C2- What are your EGT's showing; should be in the 640C range then when y
ou pull power back to the 3/4 position they should go up to 680C.

Subject: JabiruEngine-List: Fuel Pressure
List
Today was the first flight on the Jabiru 3300 since my off field landing ba
ck in
December ( due to both ignition coils being wiped out ).
I noticed the fuel pressure had dropped from 1.8 ~ 2.1 to 1.4 plus or minus
. I
have my low pressure alarm set at 1.8 so I kept getting an alarm unless I k
ept
the electric boost pump on.
The engine has not been run since the first of December 2014. Question: Sho
uld
I be concerned about the 1/2 lb. pressure drop or is it a case of TMI ( too
much
information ).
I know of at least two guys that do not even have a fuel pressure gauge.
Anyone have any idea how long the engine driven fuel pump is good for. It h
as 236
hours on it but it is at least 8 years old.
By the way I noticed my maximum RPM on take off went from 2600 to 2720 just
before
rotation speed. I attribute that to the new Rotek E-mag and the newer Honda
ignition coil.
