REF: Jabiru 3300 237 hrs. I did some high speed taxi runs Sat and a short flight around the pattern. The CAMit 40 amp alternator I just installed works just fine. I have a field current switch to it and cranked the engine with it off. The battery voltage was 12.2 after cranking. After checking oil pressure and a few other things I energized the field and the voltage climbed up to 14.2 and 11 amps. ( At about 900 rpm ). I'll let you know how it works out after a few longer flights. I also installed a Rotec E-mag on the left side. Got a surprise when I checked the mags. I am using the E-mag tachometer pick up for the Dynon. When it is turned off for the mag check the RPM goes to ZERO. Seeing the RPM drop to zero is a little unnerving even on the ground. It didn't really change but still was spooky. CAMit has a new tach pick off ( $70 US ) that I might have to try out. I glad to get back in the air. Congratulations! I have been following your story on the net. I have some idea what you have been going through. I am in the last stages of mating a B&C LR3C alternator powered by Jabiru 2200 to my Alpi pioneer 200. The final stage is the wiring from the aircraft to the regulator. I have three schematics, B&C, Jabiru, and Alpi. If I could their attention, and =9CDress right dress!=9D I will home free. Bob Haas Buckingham Field FL. N380BH. What problems are you having? I designed the LR series B&C regultors and can probably assist in resolution of any integration issues. Bob . . . At 01:18 PM 6/8/2015, you wrote: > Congratulations!
