Subject: | Engine miss in flight |
Hello,
Yesterday evening, I flew about 40 minutes. As I was turning on bad and bringing
rpm down to around 1700 rpm, the engine began missing. It constant but little
short shutters if you will. Got to the ground with no problems but now I am
concerned.
I recently finished my condition inspection. And have had several hours of flights
since.
Any of you folks experience anything similar?
I have created a hit list, however, any advice from practical experience would
be appreciated.
Regards,
Rich

What fuel are you using? I flew the other day and noticed a miss at
about 2700 rpm. Was OK below and above 2800. I remembered that this
happen about 2 years ago when I used ethanol-free auto fuel. I had been
using AVGAS since until a few weeks ago when I tried auto fuel again.
Not sure if that is the problem but I'm switching back to AVGAS. Will
find out once the tanks are empty of auto gas.
