I currently have a MCREARY AIRTRAC 5.00-5 4ply tire and will be going to a 6ply tire. I have been looking at the Michelin and the Goodyears but am not sure they are worth the extra cost over the MCREARY. What do you think? The quality difference is readily apparent and it will last longer than a McReary tire. If you take the difference in price between a low quality tire and a high quality tire and divide that amount by the number of landings and takeoffs that you will make during the life of the high quality tire the difference in cost per landing and takeoff will seem a trivial amount. If you take the difference in price between a low quality tire and a high quality tire and divide that amount by the number of days of use you will have during the life of the high quality tire the difference in cost per day will seem a trivial amount.
