Scott has 220 hp (built IO-360) in his TR-1! For my all carbon TR-4 I just bought a 350 HP TIO-540 from a Mirage. When I built the parts for the carbon TR-4 I did some modifications to make the plane stronger, stiffer and to take the weight of a heavy 6 cylinder engine. Of course now I need to quickly build the TR-4... I bonded my route fairing to BOTH the fuselage AND the wing. After it was cured, I then cut it in half with a thin saw blade. The end result is a VERY clean joint. Does this also "float" where it covers the wing and does it fit into the joggle at the inner edge of the underside of the wing? If you don't mind could you also explain how you constructed the slots on the fuselage.
