Subject: Latest "Flight"
All;
Yesterday we (wife Millie & I) flew from San Salvador (MSSS) to Panama City,
Panama (MPMG). It took us 5.9hrs at 140KTAS with a head wind that gave us
only 128Kts GS. The flight was in beautiful VFR weather until off the coast
of Costa Rica where we went hard IFR for the last 1.5hr until landing. The
airplane flew along great and the RADAR approach was uneventful except that
the controller handed me off so high above MPMG that I had to do a go-around
to set myself up for landing.
Aong the way we flew over several volcanos and took some great pictures. I
will put them on my web page. We return to El Salvador on Saturday.
