Here is an image of where they go looki ng up at the tail. I only had 4 VGs left over when the job was completed. I will take a picture and post it on my web page. Remember, they go on the B OTTOM of the tail. Galin N819PR On Sun, Dec 13, 2009 at 6:26 PM, Scott Stearns wrot e: Where did you put them? On the leading edge or back near the ele vator? Sounds like a good idea. I had a significant increase in elevator authority at low airspeed and could keep the nose at a higher attitude tha n before all the way to touchdown. This was especially evident when I easil y kept the nose off the runway for a good 500ft after touchdown. The nose w heel finally touched down at a significantly slower speed than I had been a ble to do before. Before the VG installation, no matter how hard I tried to keep the nose wheel off the runway, as soon as the mains touched the nose came firmly down. I used the STOLSPEED Vortex Generators available at Aircraft Sp ruce: http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/stolspeed.php The hardest part of the entire installation was trimming the pr ovided 3M dual side tape once I painted them. :o) Galin N819PR ollow target=_blank>www.aeroelectric.com /" rel=nofollow target=_blank>www.buildersbooks.com ofollow target=_blank>www.homebuilthelp.com llow target=_blank>http://www.matronics.com/contribution =nofollow target=_blank>http://www.matronics.com/Navigator?KIS-List et=_blank>http://forums.matronics.com _blank">www.aeroelectric.com .com" target="_blank">www.buildersbooks.com ="_blank">www.homebuilthelp.com _blank">http://www.matronics.com/contribution et="_blank">http://www.matronics.com/Navigator?KIS-List tp://forums.matronics.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Matronics Email List Services ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post A New Message kis-list@matronics.com UN/SUBSCRIBE http://www.matronics.com/subscription List FAQ http://www.matronics.com/FAQ/KIS-List.htm Web Forum Interface To Lists http://forums.matronics.com Matronics List Wiki http://wiki.matronics.com Full Archive Search Engine http://www.matronics.com/search 7-Day List Browse http://www.matronics.com/browse/kis-list Browse Digests http://www.matronics.com/digest/kis-list Browse Other Lists http://www.matronics.com/browse Live Online Chat! http://www.matronics.com/chat Archive Downloading http://www.matronics.com/archives Photo Share http://www.matronics.com/photoshare Other Email Lists http://www.matronics.com/emaillists Contributions http://www.matronics.com/contribution ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These Email List Services are sponsored solely by Matronics and through the generous Contributions of its members.
