Hi Guy's
Two weeks ago here in the Great White North the temperature got above 20 de
g. Not wanting to miss this rare day I plug ed in my plane. About 3:30 I we
nt up for the last hour and a half of sun light. It was great to be up in t
he air after a month of sever cold. Minus 29 deg. actual minus 45 wind chil
l. The dew point spread was only 2 deg. when I went up. As the sun went dow
n so did the temp. When I landed and pushed the plane back in the hangar I
noticed lines of condensation about every two inches parallel with the cord
of the wing. The lines followed the wing skin all the way back. I have tha
t clear leading edge tape on my planes leading edges and the lines started
at the aft edge of the tape. On the wing tips the lines followed the curve.
I don't know the significance if any of this but thought I would share it
with you all.
