Consists of one coat grey primer, one coat 'speckled trunk paint' from Auto paint supply company, and then an overspray of clear polyurethane for abrasion protection. It looks decent, and is easy to apply to the compound curved surface. Doesn't supply any sound deadening though. Floor is getting carpet, but I haven't flown with it yet with carpet. My plane is loud with the Mazda Rotary in it. From: ALFRED ROSA Dear KIS list members, I have decided to sell my 75% finished kit. While it was a blast working on the project for the last 12 or so years and being a member of this builders group, the time has come to admit that advancing age and financial obligations make finishing it a pipe dream. A lot of my project can be seen on Bob Reeds web site, and if you email me at: fredorosa@gmail.com I can send you the latest photos and answer any questions. I have advertised in Trade a Plane for the next 2 issues. I am asking $38,500. which is less $ than I have invested. The hundreds of hours of excellent work are free. The location is Venice Florida, which has a great GA airport. From: ALFRED ROSA This is a Cruiser kit only needing some minor work on the fuselage and wings. It has upgraded components like GROVE landing gear, wheels and brakes. Top of the line GOODYEAR tires. Dual yokes, baggage door, adjustable seats from a Mazda Miata, etc. There is no engine or avionics. If it had that I'd be crazy to sell it for that price. I wont let anyone steal this baby. I also used Zolotone and and a layer of foil backed insulation on the cabin side of the firewall, mostly for heat radiation. If you don't have at least 3/8" thick windows and windscreen you won't get any measurable help from other insulation. Spend the money on Zulu or Bose and ear plugs, like Scott, if necessary. A good ANR headset is the way to go. I upgraded to the ZULU's and absolutely love them.
