For aft stop I installed a mounting bracket and a long hex socket head cap screw (that could be adjusted) in the aft side of the bottom of the seat bottom opening. The control stick bracket would hit the cap screw head to stop aft movement." Attached are two pictures of this arrangement. 2) I like the pitch control stop arrangement that Keith posted (see below) better than mine and would have used that one had I known of it. From: Keith.Miller@esa.int Ted my simple pitch control stop is illustrated in this picture. Aluminium "L" Bracket attached to side of the console tunnel and two fully repositionable hose clamps on the main elevator control rod . ( i think i copied this from Ray Clegg) (See attached file: DSCN0760.JPG) for the ailerons the sticks come with a bracket for this specific function (or at last mine did) , so no need to invent something ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 06:02:17 AM PST US From: Subject: KIS-List: Aileron Control Stops 8/6/2010 Hello Fellow KIS TR-1 Builders, Here is a follow up on aileron control stops: 1) I wrote: " Aileron: I installed two flat pieces of aluminum, each one held in place with a U bracket on the control stick cross over control rod. The aluminum pieces butted up against part of the control stick support brackets and could be adjusted by loosening, moving the aluminum pieces, and retightening the U brackets." Attached is a picture of this arrangement. You can see that my description above is not entirely correct. The aluminum pieces are U bolted to the square cross section mounting cross bar, not the cross over control rod, and the stop is actually created by the stick itself hitting the end of the aluminum piece. 2) Keith Miller wrote: "for the ailerons the sticks come with a bracket for this specific function (or at last mine did) , so no need to invent something" Hello Keith, Can you please elaborate on this a bit, maybe a picture? Maybe I missed something. Thanks.
