Is anybody flying a CATTO 3 bladed fixed pitch prop? I am thinking of switching from my current SENSENICH 2 blade on my TR-4 with a Lycomming O-360. Galin

Ted,=0A=0AWe both seem to have been great at selecting all the aviation orp hans.- We both =0Apicked a great aircraft, the KIS TR4 from a company tha t no longer exists.- We =0Apicked a GREAT engine, the Superior XP360 from a company that no longer exists.- =0AWe picked an engine management syst em that is still in my mind the best from a =0Acompany that no longer exist s and even though they were bought out by a company =0Athat does exist, the y have orphaned the FADEC system.- Then there was the =0ABlueMountain EFI S system that went out of business.- =0A=0A=0ASeems we are-good at pick ing some great aviation gear but we seem to have =0Aproblems getting our pl anes finished before everything becomes obsolete.- You =0Aand I know the value of what you have and we are both aware of how much we-have =0Ainves ted in our aircraft but that doesn't apply to everyone else.- Right now, if =0AI were looking to start on a project, I would have to admit that I wo uldn't be =0Ainterested in the KIS TR4 at any price, especially an orphaned one.- I am afraid =0Athat the only way we will ever be able to get anyth ing out of our planes is to =0Afinish them.- Even then, it will be diffic ult to recoup any substantial =0Aadditional investment if needed to complet e.- =0A=0A=0AThe market for a partially completed project, rather a KIS o r any other kit =0Aplane, is never very good.- We know what we have done and know the quality of =0Aour work but when anyone buys an incomplete proj ect they must discount for the =0Aunknown of workmanship quality.- They k now they-may find that some parts of the =0Aplane have been compromised b eyond use and therefore must be able to acuire =0Athose parts from the manu facturer.- If that manufacturer no longer exists, as =0Aous does not, the y may be sorry out of luck and unable to complete their =0Aproject.- Thos e facts have greatly reduced the value of our investment beyond =0Aeven the normal discount for a partially complete project.=0A=0AI hate being negati ve on this issue but I have faced that very reality myself.- =0AI either finish it or lose almost everything I have put into it.- I don't know =0A if I can help you or not but if you would like me to, I would be happy to a dd =0Ayour project onto my website (which I have also been neglecting) and see if it =0Acould generate any additional interest.- It still gets-pre tty good-ongoing =0Atraffic every month and I just renewed it for another year.- Put together a =0Acomplete set of photos documenting the project and its current status along with =0Aany written narrative you would like t o include.- I will add a section for your =0Aproject and highlight it for anyone coming to my site.- I don't know if it will =0Ado any good but I will give it a try if you will get me the details and the =0Aphotos.- Unl ike other sites, I won't limit how many photos you put on or how =0Amuch yo u want to document.- I don't have any limitations on how much disk space =0AI use so I don't have to worry about that.- It will be for all practic al =0Apurposes, your website.- Show and list all the parts and we will se e if that =0Amight be a buyer among those who visit my site.- It could be a big waste of time =0Abut-you don't have anything to lose, its free.=0A =0ABob Reed=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A________________________________=0AFrom: ted <ted s532@wk.net>=0ATo: kis-list@matronics.com=0ASent: Fri, February 11, 2011 9: 22:52 PM=0ASubject: Re: KIS-List: Re: 2010 Holiday trip=0A=0A--> KIS-List m essage posted by: "ted" <teds532@wk.net>=0A=0AThanks John.
