Hello Bruce, I'd like to welcome you to the Matronics KIS list. The people
on this list are, by far your best source of information on the KIS
aircraft. We'd like to help you. You can join here:

The archives of the Matronics KIS list contain decades worth of postings
regarding building and flying KIS airplanes.
I built KIS TR-1 kit number 116 and have been flying it for several years
for 360 plus hours. Some background:
1) The KIS line of aircraft was founded / designed by the late Rich Trickel
doing business as Tri-R Technologies in Oxnard CA.
2) The KIS TR-1 was powered by a variety of engines including some 150 HP
Lycomings.
3) When Solly Melyon, who had previously become associated with Pulsar, took
over the assets of Tri-R he renamed the KIS TR-1 as the Pulsar 150.
4) Solly Melyon left Pulsar and Yaron Degani moved Pulsar to El Salvador.
Rich Trickel subsequently joined Pulsar in El Salvador.
5) Both Yaron Degani (in an airplane accident) and Rich Trickel (from
cancer) have passed away and the Pulsar factory is basically non
functioning.

6) "...am struggling to find information on a KIS 150 I have that needs
work."
We need to know what kind of work is needed in order to best help you. Also
please tell us a little bit about your plane: Who built it? How did you get
it? What engine does it have?
7) "I did get a limited set of plans ....."
There are no real "plans" for the KIS TR-1. Just a Builders Manual that
tells you how to assemble the factory provided molded parts and hardware
into an airplane. I have a copy of the KIS TR-1 Builders Manual on a disc
(thanks to Hans-Christian Erstad) that I would be willing to try to copy and
send to you if you wish.
8) " I need misc parts (ailerons, flaps, etc.) and either need plans or
parts."
It won't be easy, particularly working with you at a distance, but I am sure
that we can help you. Want to get started?
'OC' Baker Says: "The best investment we can make is the time and effort to
gather and understand knowledge."

Subject: | Inexpensive recognition lights for the airplane |
By adding a Bussman 244 heavy duty flasher, a little re-wiring of my
airplanes landing/taxi light circuit gave me a good recognition light
system for the airplane. Now depending on which switch I throw, all 4 of
my landing/taxi lights either flash or light up. With all
4 lights blinking, the airplane's visibility is greatly increased during
the day. All I had to buy was the 25A fuse and the Bussmann 244 flasher
which ran just under $15.00 for the whole setup.
Here is a picture of the circuit and how I did the wiring.

I also posted a video of the lights as the work at:
