Mark,
If you're trying to track down various kits, KIS TR-1c #51 built by Richard Warden
likely flew it's final flight on May 26, 2012. During the landing rollout
the weld attaching the left rudder pedal & brake failed resulting in an inability
to maintain directional control (no left rudder or brake). The plane departed
the runway to the right at Roche Harbor (Friday Harbor, WA) and eventually
came to rest with the nose caught in a sheep fence along the runway. The landing
gear collapsed, prop strike, damage to the wings and fuselage. My insurance
company totaled the plane.
Thankfully, nobody was hurt.

and would be in his late 70s. He bought the kit for cross country flying. This
airplane should be flying.

me as to the status of this airplane? The family is attempting to track down
as many kits as we can find.
