The damage is minimal just as we thought. So I am going to take advantage that the engine is off and do several things. Lyle Hendricks is going to fabricate the parts so I am going to replace both lower brackets, the H bracket and both steel pins within the H bracket. I am going to change the shock absorber inside the nosewheel assembly. The exhaust system was sent out to get a completely new stainless steel exhaust built. I am also going to replace the fuel boost pump and all the bolts/nuts/washers I can get my hands on. BTW: What kind of shock absorber do you guys use in your nose wheel assembly. The one I pulled out looks to be about one that Christopher Columbus brought over on his 1st trip to the new world. :) ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 08:50:22 PM PST US From: Robert Reed Subject: Re: KIS-List: Engine Removed Galin,=0A=0ASounds like you have it under control.- Was the part number o n the shock that =0Ayou pulled out?- I believe it was a auto shock what s hould still be available.=0A=0ABob=0A=0A=0A________________________________ =0AFrom: Galin Hernandez =0ATo: "kis-list@matronics.com " =0ASent: Wed, April 3, 2013 9:23:50 PM=0ASubject: KIS-List: Engine Removed=0A=0A=0AWe removed the engine and got a good look at the firewall. They want a make model year of a car in order to find it. What shock are you using in your nose-wheel? I have read a lot of information that ceramic coating makes it impossible to repair and also contributed to pre-mature failures. Here is a link to Vetterman Exhaust that talks about ceramic coating. http://www.vettermanexhaust.com/ On Wed, Apr 3, 2013 at 11:38 PM, Scott Stearns wrote: > Are you getting the exhaust ceramic coated? > > > On Apr 3, 2013, at 7:21 PM, Galin Hernandez wrote: > > We removed the engine and got a good look at the firewall.
