S. company specialising in valve spring! Malcolm. On 25 Mar 2014, at 13:08, Galin Hernandez wrote: > Have you tried a Honda dealer in the UK? It is always great to hear from KIS people around the world. The only Cam 100 powered KIS TR-1 I know of was the build by UK dealer Brian Davies (Ray Clegg upgrade his Cam 100 to a Continental IO-240). Brian had a different name for the airplane he called KID for Keep It Difficult. He also applied the fast building options on kits he sold to some buyers. While I am no expert on Honda creations, here in the USA there are at least two aftermarket manufacturers of valve train components for these engines - BWR, and Brian Crower. Some of the springs offered are for high performance race engine applications, you will have to sort out what you need. Here are a couple of websites from here in the USA that sell these products (I do not believe the free shipping offered will cover shipping to the UK): http://www.tunersports.com/products.php?make=1&model=8&year=1986&category=78&page=1 http://thmotorsports.com/i-397137.aspx?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=3971371986ACURAINTEGRA&utm_campaign=GoogleShoppingSeanVehSpec&adtype=pla&kw=&gclid=CJnAlpmVsL0CFYFQOgodaQQArw http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/partdetails/Brian_Crower/engine/Valve_Springs_and_Retainers/-/10355 I believe Brian imported about 13 KIS TR-1s into the UK (that is 10% of the total number of TR-1 kits my brother sold). The completion rate was much better than here in the USA with 10 of the birds finished to flying status at one time or another. I am still on the lookout for 2 missing kits somewhere in the UK or possibly exported to parts unknown. If you could provide any other details about your KIS we all would enjoy hearing about it. I did a quick search and it looks like this car/engine combination was not available in the US.
