I understand and sympathize having spent more than a few hours replacing my
IO-240 B9B engine vibration isolators.

a) That is puzzling. My PARTS CATALOG, MODEL IO-240-A, B; Form X30623A is
dated July 1996 (which is an earlier date than 1998).
b) What is the Form number of your Parts Catalog?
c) My catalog includes Chapters 12, Crankcase and Chapter 13, Engine Drive
Train.
d) Can you check your Catalog page vi for the Chapter Index listing to see
if your Catalog is also supposed to have Chapters 12 and 13?
e) If you will email me a mailing address I will make a copy of page 12-8
that has FIGURE 12-4, ENGINE SHOCK MOUNT on it and mail it to you via USPS.
3) "I will let you know how it goes." and "I'll take a pic. Of it tomorrow

I would appreciate that.
4) "I have to remove the oil filter bracket to get the bottom right one
out."
When I ordered my IO-240 B_B engine from TCM I created a new combination of
accessories. The highest previous number of different accessory combinations
was 8 so my engine became designated as an IO-240 B9B. I suggested that it
should be designated as an IO-240 OCB, but that did not fly. I don't know if
they ever built another exactly configured IO-240 B9B engine.
Anyway, one of the accessory modifications that I had ordered with my engine
was an oil filter adapter that Diamond had developed for the Katana DA20-C1
airplane. See here:
http://www.diamondaircraft.com/aircraft/da20/index.php
This Diamond developed oil filter adapter, P/N 655048 replaced the normal
IO-240 B_B oil cooler adapter, P/N 653864 and it permitted the mounting of a
Champion CH48108-1 or Tempest AA48108-2 (my preference) spin on oil filter
right on the engine eliminating all hoses and brackets for a remote mounted
spin on oil filter.
5) "Thank you again."
You are welcome -- happy to help anytime.

Hello OC,
I think I know why I delayed Changing the Vibration Isolators, The two
Electronic Ignition Coils are in the way of the top bolts and I have to
remove the oil filter bracket to get the bottom right one out. They are well
past due.
My Parts Manual only goes to page 11-7 (Jan. 1998), so I can't see the
parts.
I will let you know how it goes.
This morning while I was working on my KIS a friend flew his KIS with a
first time passenger to a local field for breakfast. Entering the pattern
back home the right door popped open. The glass broke out and the passenger
held the frame closed. He was lucky not to lose the hole door. He said it
flew a little weird but he got it down okay. I'll take a pic. Of it tomorrow
and post it.
Thank you again.
Tim

Greetings fellow KIS aviators,
Does anyone knows who sales the door's plexiglas window for the KIS TR1?
As my friend Tim indicated, mine broke after an interesting flight
yesterday. Please let me know. Many thanks for your help.
