Galin,=0A=0AThe health problem turned out to be Type II Diabetes which was
a total shock to me since I had never had any weight problems and no warnin
g.- The symptoms were classic but didn't all appear all at once so I didn
't put two and two together. I just felt tired and had zero energy.- It w
asn't until I started losing weight by the day that I realized it was more
than just the winter time blues.- Lost over 20 lbs in 6 weeks without cha
nging my diet.- Was real close to checking into the hospital when I was f
inally able to get doctors appointment.- By that time I was really feelin
g too tired to do anything beyond working.- Weekends were spent sleeping.
- =0A=0AThat was then and the recovery has been good but it took much lon
ger than I expected.- I am back to where I was but really have to watch m
y diet and fluid intake.- I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and expec
t him to update my diagnosis to controlled diabetic status.- Still workin
g on diet changes that hopefully will allow me to drop the medications as w
ell.- We will see but at least now the numbers are great.=0A=0AIf I can g
et-this systems contract under control as well then I should be able to r
eturn to work on the plane.- Very disappointed that progress has once aga
in been delayed.- I might be able to make a trip out to the hangar this w
eekend if I can get rid of a house full of company.- I will let you know.

Hi Galin,
I would recommend the whirlwind ground adjustable propeller. It is about th
e same weight as a catto or prince fixed pitch, but you can adjust it to be e
xactly what you want and if you do drag reduction stuff (like the vans wheel
pants) you can just adjust the pitch instead of sending the prop back for r
ework or a new prop.
Compared to my old prince fixed prop the whirlwind ground adjustable is abou
t 5% more efficient at 10-12,000 feet. At 10,500', I got 174 KTAS at 8.5 gp
h with the prince and 178 KTAS at 8.1 gph with the WW set at the same pitch a
s the prince. The prince is better at low altitude (3-4,000').
