During the balancing process of the aileron I've noticed that this tab is very heavy for its size. Besides that, there is an additional weight of the aileron trim servo, servo cover, electric cable..... I'm thinking if all that stuff is really necessary. Most of the single engine aircraft that I've flown don't have an aileron trim tab. I think that the fixed aileron trim tab is light, simple, reliable and very efficient for small roll tendency adjustment. Before I remove my aileron trim tab and all the associated systems, I'd like to listen to what you guys think about it. My fuel system requires requires left or right fuel tank, not both. Using aileron trim lets me fly longer on one tank and keep her level. Also I have to retrim if I carry a passenger. A Cruiser, being larger and heaver, my not be as sensentive to the weight changes.
