Keith. Yes, the shipping is expensive and the sales tax (25%) is expensive! That is why I transported my current Prince propeller as hand luggage on a flight from the US. And through customs I pretended it was part of my personal belongings (camouflaged as skies) :-) I have to be really creative living in this part of the world. Put it in a big hat box? People also check in their bicycles, maybe pretend it is a bicycle wheel? I agree 3 blades is more difficult than 2 :-) 2014-09-02 13:06 GMT+02:00 <Keith.Miller@esa.int>: > > Hans > > not sure what you can disguise a 3 bladed prop as ? any suggestions ? > > > From: Hans Christian Erstad <hans.erstad@gmail.com> > To: "kis-list@matronics.com" <kis-list@matronics.com>, > Date: 09/02/2014 11:50 AM > Subject: Re: KIS-List: My new propeller shipped today. > Sent by: owner-kis-list-server@matronics.com > > > Keith. Hans; I had them include the nickel leading edges, the spinner and since they don't have copper as an available color, it included the custom tip color. There is a 4 month delivery time but I paid for the 4 week delivery option. This brought the total price to $5,000.00US. http://www.cattoprops.com/ Galin On Tue, Sep 2, 2014 at 4:49 AM, Hans Christian Erstad <hans.erstad@gmail.com > wrote: > Yes, it look AWESOME! > Keep us updated on how it performs. > I have been thinking about a new propeller for my TR-1, with finer pitch > than I have now. Instead of a new finer pitched prop have you thought about trimming a little off the ends? In the past I had an Ed Sturba prop for my TR-1 that was a little too much pitch so I trimmed 1/2 inch off of each tip. This made a noticeable difference but I still wanted a little more RPM so I did it again for a total of 1 inch off each blade. This made it a perfect match for my engine/aircraft. I left the ends square. In reality square ends are better than most curved ends. Look at the Mooney wings tips for an example.
