That is a good find. There is another website out of China that has a report on
the crash with 2 gory pictures. The airplane burned, it was not pretty. I question
the fact that Degani was a El Salvadorian national. I'd bet money his passport
was Israeli. He married an American who was from the Leigh Valley area
near me. The P300-TR-4 was highly modified with the vertical tail from the six
place design Rich was developing for the guy that bought his composite shop (Degani
ended up with the six place but never did anything with it or for that
matter he never did anything with any of the designs he came into by others misfortune).
The airplane had a wider track with gear legs on the wing panels.
The P300-TR-4 was originally equiped with 300hp. Continental. At one point it
was fitted with a diesel engine of Israeli origin but that never worked out. The
configuration at the time of the crash was a 250 hp Continental (I wonder if
there was still traces of 100A in the tanks). The airplane had very little air
time, as Galin noted the 4 years he was in country he never saw it fly.
Jersey - the best information for the KIS Cruiser is right here on this forum,
and believe me this is better advice, and information than you would ever get
from the Pulsar Clowns.

Yaron was a citizen of the US, Israel and El Salvador so at least that part
is true. YS-300 once had a SMA (Snecma - France) diesel engine installed
but it was never operational since SMA could not get the FADEC to work
correctly.
