    The official ICAO and FAA designator for the TR-4 is KIS4. This is to be used for flight plans.     The ICAO document for all aircraft designations is at: http://www.icao.int/ DOC 8643 If you go on line and search for the KIS4 and view the official photo you will see my airplane (N819PR) prominently displayed.     For the FAA the document is JO 7340.2A "Contractions". It is the same as ICAO Doc 8643.
