OC,
I need to replace mine soon ( 638225 & 530740 ) . Like you I am happy to
pay for the 530740, but the 638225 is a rip-off - i priced it up at the
beginning of this year and found them for 49$ from aircraft specialties
supplies .
So if you come up with a solution i would be very happy to hear it . Also
if you can get some made i would also be happy to share the costs.

Right you are, and that is a good price for those who can use the 22387
bushing.
2) "If the O-200 adapters do not work could something similar be made for
the IO-240 BXB?"
Maybe, but the real issue is not the configuration, cost (approximately
$17.50), and availability of the CM part number 530740 (or its Lord J3608-1
substitute) end bushing, but the cost (approximately $70) , Durometer
hardness (too soft), and non availability of the CM part number 638225
center tubular bushing.
3) " If you can draw them up I can get a quote for making them but your best
bet may be to use the factory ones if you can get them."
Yes, I intend to continue using the CM part number 530740 (or its Lord
J3608-1 substitute) end bushing and keep searching for a better solution for
the CM part number 638225 center tubular bushing.

The conical rubber bushings on ebay are actually $1.25 each. But with
shipping the total is $22.22 for 8.

Hello Keith, You wrote:

I ordered four 638225's from
http://www.aircraft-specialties.com/
on line a day or so ago at $48.45 USD only to receive a phone call saying
that it would be several weeks before delivery so I cancelled the order. I
am paying about $70 USD each for the ones that I was able to find on an
extended search.
2) "Also if you can get some made i would also be happy to share the

I don't know how to start that process. I don't know who CM's supplier is.
And the Durometer rating (hardness) of the 638225's that come from CM is too
soft in my opinion.
Also US regulations forbid making parts for US type certificated airplanes
without FAA approval and there are type certificated airplanes (Diamond DA
20-C1 for one) http://www.diamondaircraft.com/aircraft/da20/technical.php
that use the IO-240 B3B engine so if I were able to find someone to make the
638225's the maker would have to specify them as being offered only for non
type certificated airplanes. Probably not worth the financial return for any
potential maker.
3) "So if you come up with a solution i would be very happy to hear it"
OK. Right now I am waiting for delivery of several pieces of elastomeric
hose from McMaster Carr that I may into cut into short pieces and use as
substitutes for 638225's. There is precedence for this as the similar part
for mounting the O 200 engine, part number 628555-16, is just a piece of
hose. See here:
