Hi Guys,
Can anyone suggest a wing tip landing light kit for my KIS. Or a good way to install
one? I didn't want to cut into the wing.

Check Bob Reed's website, http://www.kisbuild.r-a-reed-assoc.com/ , go to
tips section, then landinhg light installation.
It is how I did it, but it is in the leading edge of the wing, not the wing
tip. Some of the technique might be useful to you.

Thanks Bill! Didn't know what tool to use to cut into the wing? I know you can't
use a jig saw. I also just had the plane repainted.

A very handy tool for fiberglass work is the FEIN oscillating head
saw/sander. It oscillates the cutting tool or sanding head back and forth 2
degrees. you can touch the cutting surface with your finger and it will not
cut it, but a rigid material like fiberglass it cuts very smoothly and
controlled. Great for detail sanding also.
Others make a similar product, such as Bosch, etc. I have the FEIN tool.

FWIW I used a combination of LED lights for my airplane. The BEACON is a
Red LED 14 VDC Aircraft Beacon, the Landing/Taxi/Recognition lights are
AERO LED AeroSun 800 (2ea), while the Navigation/Position/Strobes are AVEO
Engineering Powerburst Plus. I posted a video on YouTube with all of them
working so you can see how they operate.

Wing tip lights are almost always nav lights. Taxi lts are in the leading e
dges of the wings. A landing lt can be located in the bottom cowling or in a
wing leading edge. I've never seen a landing lt on the wing tip.
