As of today, subject to change, we plan on stopping near Houston, El Paso, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Albuquerque, Dallas and New Orleans. Of course all of this is weather permitting. If anyone lives "near" or between one of these areas let me know. We might be able to stop in, say "Hi" and see your KIS. ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 08:03:30 AM PST US From: Robert Reed Subject: Re: KIS-List: October 2018 Trip out west Galin You know that I am in the Dallas area and Lancaster is a good stopping plac e.=C2- Hopefully by October my plane will be finished and airborne.=C2- Got my engine back a couple of weeks ago and even though it had been out a nd not as well stored as it should have been for the last 15 years, it was in good shape and no rust anywhere.=C2- I was very lucky.=C2- They tore it down completely, inspected everything, cleaned and replaced all seals a nd gaskets.=C2- I am now trying to get the wiring, exhaust, and fuel syst em installed.=C2- There should be a book on what needs to be installed be fore everything else.=C2- Seems like I try to install something only to f ind out that I needed to install some other part before that.=C2- So you take it off, and try again.=C2- I might be retired but finding time and money are still an issue.=C2- Not to mention temperatures in the 100's that are unbearable. It is about 150 air miles North East of Falcon Field, KFFZ, Which is in Mesa, AZ.
