The screws do not go through holes in the windshield, only through a frame that holds it in. I highly do not recommend this and think it is a major safety issue. Much of the strength of the windshield is dependent on the bending load becoming a tension load and this does not happen if the windshield is only lightly clamped by a frame. If the windshield is bonded to a strong frame and then this is screwed in it may be safe.
