Galin,
I have flown the C-172 models with both landing light configurations and I think
that the one with the light on the nose is MUCH better!
If you are planning on changing it and if theres enough space in the nose, do it!
The problem with the light on the cowling is that you have to disconnect it every
time you remove the cowling, s place a connector in a well accessible place
and in a very visible area so that you dont forget to disconnect it before removing
the cowling.
