I have recently purchased a TR1 with a can air power unit which overall has been
quite unreliable for the previous owner. I intend to fit a continental 0200
with crossfloe cylinders, any info or advice would be gratefully recieved,,, thanks

Hi Tom,
I would suggest the Lycoming O-235 over the Continental O-200. The added power
is very important. My TR-1 was powered by a 125hp high compression O-235 and
I found the performance to be ok in climb but good in cruise. My guess is the
O-200 would be ok in cruise but marginal in climb. But what works for you may
be different.
My company (aeromomentum.com) offers new engines based on Suzuki that are dyno
and flight proven that would work well in the TR-1.
