    From: "jeffbudner" <jeffbudner@gmail.com>
Hi All, I have a need to remove the main gear of my TR-1. In searching the archives, I found one thread that suggests supporting the plane at the wing roots. I've also considered strapping the fuselage and lifting with a hoist, assuming I can rent one that has a long enough arm. Are there other options that I haven't considered? Thanks much, Jeff Budner KIS TR-1 # 099 Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=506333#506333

I did the following: - traced the airfoil shape from the wing tip on a 2x8 board - cut out the airfoil shape - used that as a template to cut 3 more 2x8 boards for a total of 4 (2 under each wing) - put foam pool noodles on the boards where they=99ll be in contact w ith the bottom of the wings - built vertical supports out of 2x4=99s - lifted the 2x8=99s with an engine hoist and lift straps and attache d to the vertical supports with long screws (see photo) - repeat for other side -Doug Crane KIS TR-4 N302KM On Thu, Mar 17, 2022 at 13:04 jeffbudner <jeffbudner@gmail.com> wrote: > > Hi All, I have a need to remove the main gear of my TR-1.
