FWIW; I installed a 2x10 board on an adjustable sawhorse. I then covered
the 2x10 board with thick moving blankets as padding. Then I lifted each
wing, put one sawhorse about where the main spar is under each wing and
lowered each wing down. This suspended the airplane so I could take the
landing gear off and made it impossible for the airplane to fall down. You
can see the setup in the attached pictures.
Remember to chock the front wheel during this procedure.
