Hi Kitfox Listers,
My name is Matt Dralle and I am the List Administrator for the email list
forums at Matronics as a whole. Don and Darrel asked me to set up a new
Kitfox-List here and I suspect that they will be officially announcing the
home for the Kitfox-List shortly.
Regarding the List trailer at the end of the each posting, you'll note that
I've trimmed it back a bit starting with this message, removing the top
section about the List Fund Raiser going on this month. Since the
Kitfox-List here is brand new, I'll give everyone a full year to use and
enjoy the Lists before I ask for operational support contributions. :-)
As far as the other parts of the trailer, these are highly recommend. Even
with the trailer that shows all of the available web features on the List,
I still get email asking "how do I search the archive?", "how do I
unsubscribe?" The trailer is a constant reminder of all the various
utilities available to List Subscriber.
I just counted the characters in the trailer, and came up with 1396. With
53k modem transfer rate, the trailer will only add .21 of a second download
to any given email message. The trailer is stripped before the message is
added to the Log file.
At any rate, WELCOME to the new home of the Kitfox-List! I work very hard
at providing a top-notch, high-performance service that is advertisement,
popup, spam, and virus free.
There are a myriad of other email lists available on the Matronics systems
and you can subscribe to any or all of them. The URL for the subscription

Not Don's list anymore. It is up to Matt Drall and he won't. I suggested
that he put a single link only for all the stuff but the response is,
people continue to ask stupid questions like, how do I sign up/off? Or
how do I search the archives. It just gets too tiring to answer the same
questions over and over so he has elected to put those answers on every
e-mail.
Because of the giant size this adds, I will no longer keep archives. The
good thing is that Matt's archives are wonderful and he provides nice
web based searching tools.
He also filters out html tags and reminds people of proper posting like
fixing the subject and not doing excessive quoting and skipping messages
aimed at a single person. All these things really increase the quality
and usefulness of the list.
