Also, the list will be stripped of winmail.dat files, html tags and quoted printable relics from MS Mail programs. What an improvement! Clean list mail, in plain ASCII as e-mail was intended. Thanks for all your diligent work and the great list upgrade Darrel and Don. Also thanks for your continued support with personal attention to helping new subscribers. Cruise can be 120 plus. I only cruise at about 100 mph only because it is more comfortable. Oh my engine is the 3300. Take-off is around 250 ft. This engine should do well in the 5/6 or 7 series airplanes. I do not believe Skystar supports these engines. Why , I do not understand. My airplane is not currently flying as I had a main wheel depart due to a faulty weld on the axle. Back to the engine . Fuel burn is about 5-1/2 gph. I have only 37 hrs. on my plane and love it. Short fields are no problem. Would recommend the engine anytime.Lots a luck. I'm carefull with all parameters and rpm. I don't get why it would affect the 1 and 2 cylinders either. My CD manual does not have a wiring diagram or scematic chart for the ignition system. I will check the plug wires though. I could also tell from a plug check that it's the 1 and 2 cylinders not firing. Also the "mag" switches don't always shut the engine down. Anywhoo, will be redoing some wiring connections and then will see if that helps. JMCBEAN wrote: Would not recommend to ever run the engine without the prop ! If the mag switch does not shut the engine down then there is most definitely a "p-lead" that is not connected. If it's sporadic then it is most likely a broken wire that is connecting intermediately. Do you have the engine manuals. Is the engine new ? Blue Skies!! Anybody know what to do? Or why it would do this? I have balanced the carbs, changed the plugs and did this smoke check by running engine without prop because with the prop it shakes way too much and is scary...... Without the prop it just sounds like crap. I am carefull about the temps and only run for a few seconds at a time. So is there a fix or just an expensive new ignition module you think? So there are four coils and each of them has a ground lead coming out of the ignition modules? I really wish I had a schematic. I believe I may have some faulty wiring and all the shaking the engine has been doing is making it worse and sporatic. Which is probably why the mag switches don't always work. GOFALKE@aol.com wrote:--> Kitfox-List message posted by: GOFALKE@aol.com If the two front cylinders on the 912 are not firing you could have a broken ground wire on two of the four double ignition coils, the one firing top 1 and 2 and the other firing the bottom 1 and 2 cylinders.
