Bill,
If you have (or can borrow) an Aircraft Spruce catalog, they have some
good information on instrument layouts / static port locations and other
specifics. If you like, contact me off list and I would be glad to scan the
pages and e-mail them to you.

If there is anybody that is running a Mosler (VW conversion), would you please
contact me off-list, as I have a number of questions. This engine came with an
uncompleted Model IV Classic. Thank you.

I would suggest purchasing the SS Static Port Kit... It will have the
instructions and measurements with it.

Hi all you Fox Drivers:
I want to put a static port on my Classic IV.
Where should I put it and what diameter
should the hole be? All help will be appreciated.
Been flying and my VSI doesn't seem to register
correctly. Am now ported under the panel inside
the cockpit. Thank you

Bill, a guy in Ontario, Canada has posted a Model IV with a VW2180 for sale.
His number is 705 693-3546.
He may have something to say.

Unless I'm mistaken (again) a Mosler is a =BDVW engine conversion. If this is
true, I know of a local pilot with a Mosler in his N3 Pup, and it barely has enough
power to fly it. He had to remove it and go with a Rotax. I'd be afraid
to even think of using one in a Kitfox.

I concur with John 100%
A static in the wrong place is much worse than having it open inside the
fuselage, ask my friend who had an airspeed which would not get below 80 in
flight till he got static port location squared away. He flew the AOA for several
hours, had a slight ripple in the skin ahead of the port and created a low
pressure, at stall still read 80! This aircraft stalled about 45-50

To the List:
I need manufacturer part numbers for the following. I am also showing the
quantity needed..
1. Cleveland brake cylinders (4 ea).
2. Cleveland wheels, 6:00 x 6 series (2 ea).
3. Axle for Cleveland wheels (2 ea).
4. Brakes for Cleveland wheels (2 ea).
Although I paid for the entire kit in August of 2002, I have yet to receive
any of the above parts. Can anyone help me to get a source for these parts at
less than full retail price?
I alsoneed the main gear (Grove) and a Rotax 912S ( both of which were
paid for in August of 2002).

Hi Arthur
Your not the only one who is still waiting on backorders. I'm bought a
quick-build Kitfox Sport in November of 2002. So much for the quick-build!
I'm also missing the same parts (although I haven't ordered the 912S yet.
I'll buy that direct from Kodiak Rotax). Did you get your exhaust and engine
mount yet? Those are also on my back-order list.
Is it normal to wait this long for parts from Skystar?

Why don't you consider the Grove Wheels, Brakes, cylinders and the whole
bit.. They will sell direct and are a good if not better copy of the
Cleveland stuff...Bob U.
