--> Kitfox-List message posted by: Aerobatics@aol.com A few years ago I had a throttle stick and solved it with "Cable Free" Just last week a few friends flew into my strip and on had a dead stick on a trike due to his throttle sticking due to moisture inside the cable then freezing. This seems to work much better than WD 40.... Called "Cable Free" by Champions Choice 1-800- 322-4491 It was designed for bikes and Ski-doo.... hmmmm perfect! Comes with a tool that purges the entire cable, removes moisture and lubes. Of course, must be above freezing temp to purge the moisture... Fly Safe! Dave Patrick KF 2 582 Blue Head

--> Kitfox-List message posted by: "JMCBEAN" <JDMCBEAN@cableone.net> Maybe I should clarify..... Model III's, Model IV's and early Series 5 aircraft used the .058 wall spars. I think some of the early III's may have been .049 Originally the Series 5 aircraft was a 1400# gross weight aircraft. When SS increased the gross on the Series 5 aircraft, approx June of 95, they went to the .065 wall spar thickness. Therefore all Series 6 and 7 aircraft would have .065 wall spars. Today all the wing spars are .065.. including the Classic IV. Before you ask... NO, one cannot increase the gross of the Classic IV with the larger spars. There are significant other fuselage changes that were done to the early 5 from the IV that aided in the increase not to mention the dia of the lift struts. Hope this helps.. and makes sense. When I ask the question before your comment was .065 wall thickness. I was upgrading my IV-1050 and could not get .065 to slip over the 7/8 tubing on each end so I used .058. We took equal lengths of the .058 and weighted them against a 99 model IV and the ..058 was slightly heavier, so we used it. --> Kitfox-List message posted by: "roger augenstein" <raugenstein@fuse.net> Bill, I replacaed the parker fittings and ridgid tubing over two years ago after reading posts stating your problem. I used barbed brass fittings in the tank openings attached to tygo tubing-the yellow tinted tubing from SS for the vent tube to one wing. In 2 years the tubing shrunk and was not as flexible so I replaced it this year with clear polyvinyl. To make the rectangular shape I inserted a 1/8" copper tube and shaped it to the proper right angles to make the wing connections and to give a straight sight area. Hope this helps.
