Anywhere in Europe.....
Usually, one of the experimental aircraft bolt qualities used are steel
grade 8.
I dont know what you need, but if you want, I can try to help you, as I
live close to an industrial area.
How is the model plane doing???

Thanks for the info it was very helpful.
A guy has suddenly popped up on two aviation groups I am a member of making
a number of outspoken/outlandish statements upsetting a lot of people and
generally "winding up both groups ". This has greatly detracted from the
normally very interesting and informative group activity.
The guy says he did 1245 hr P.I.C. private flying last year in order to
conduct his business. Without going into great detail on this forum he
implied his aircraft were registered in the USA, which my recent checks are
unable to confirm..... it appears the guy is a complete fake just out to
make a little trouble.

Just a note to say that Matronics doesn't accept any character that is not
English. I noticed that earlier when writing French words. The above should
read "Espana" with a tilde over the 'n'.

I should have mentioned that while this can be done, it is not a good idea
because it will affect other properties - like lowering the octane rating of
the fuel.

I don't understand a lot about the technical stuff about alcohol in fuel,
but I do understand it will mix with water. What would happen if I was to
add a few onces of water to a 6 gal. can of gas, shack it up and poor it
thru a water separator funnel? Would it remove the alcohol with the water?

Jeff,
If he is flying over 100 hrs per month, he doesn't
have a lot of time for his business and I would think
even less to go on line and be a pest. He does sound

Yes, we should take a moment to take this seriously
and share their concern.
I have also been to Spain several times. Because of
Spain's size, this is like 9-11 for them. In fact, I
think it occured exactly 911 days after 9-11.
Correct?
No matter what your cause, there is no justification

Hi Steve,
This first link is to Whelen aviation catalog, go to page 24 and find
the unit W1285PG1 (green)- P/N: 01-0770001-41. Check if this is the
correct one (this is the one on my Fox).

PS: (The clear lens used in the tail light has the same size as the lens

Thanks Michel and Patricia
I think I should have given more info. Patricia, I'm in Durban and fly a
Bushbaby. Bolts are grade 8, supplied with the kit. I've had some comments
that these are not "aircraft bolts" and concern that they hold my wings to
the struts and the struts to the fuselage. These particular bolts are 8mm.
Someone suggested I try to find metric aircraft bolts in Europe and relace
the ones I have.
Michel, interesting to see that the experimental guys in Europe are using
what we are using here.
I don't think my wings will come off with the 8mm bolts holding them. One
of the Bushbaby guys tested his Bushbaby to 4.8G in flight. If a metric
equivalent of an AN bolt was freely available, I would replace these to keep
the critics happy.
Michel, havn't started the model yet, been too busy!
Cheers

Anywhere in Europe.....
Usually, one of the experimental aircraft bolt qualities used are steel
grade 8.
I dont know what you need, but if you want, I can try to help you, as I
live close to an industrial area.
How is the model plane doing???

Thanks Jeff,
In the article, Rotax basically says no alcohol, and
the rest of the info seems to back it up.

Very interesting Les,
I have been following the Rotec for over a year now
and had saved the site on my computer. This engine
should get some use on other style aircraft too.
Scaled down WW-II fighters for example.
The writer didn't seem to like SS much, at least for
models 1-3.
Seems you are a UK leader in homebuilts though! :-)
